The Challenge
Traditional methods of genetic mapping are not effective in obtaining significant improvements in complex traits in Brassica napus.
The Project
This project is the second phase of an ongoing project which will evaluate the developed resource (Nested Association Mapping Population).
The Results
From this project, 93 Brassica napus lines (4% of the entire population assessed) showed ideal combination of agronomics, seed quality profile, and yield greater than the reference line.
Grower Benefits
Result in commercial utilizable data those in the canola industry.
