Clubroot Cluster Pillar 4: Clubroot Pathotype Surveillance and Research

The Challenge

Up-to-date maps and generation of complied data on clubroot distribution will stop, hindering efforts to manage clubroot. Current knowledge of the nature of clubroot spread and/or emerging pathotypes is needed.

The Project

Monitor clubroot and collect samples from fields with clubroot resistance issues, isolate and characterize field and single-spore isolates, and evaluate genetic and virulence relationships between clubroot pathotypes to aid clubroot management.
