The Challenge
Canola production requires the addition of nitrogen fertilizer, which is both costly and contributes to greenhouse gas emissions.
The Project
Create a canola variety that can fix its own atmospheric nitrogen to supplement the use of nitrogen fertilizer.
The Results
This section will be updated upon completion of the project.
Grower Benefits
Canola that can fix its own atmospheric nitrogen will be sustainably sourcing nutrients while saving growers on fertilizer costs.
