Alberta Canola Region 7 Director Election Update

On November 1, 2019 Alberta Canola announced that Mr. Steven Olson of Wetaskiwin and Mr. Michael Ammeter of Sylvan Lake had both been nominated as Alberta Canola Director for Region 7 and that an election by mailed ballot would be held over the upcoming winter.
On November 12, 2019 Mr. Olson withdrew his candidacy for election as Alberta Canola Director for Region 7.
Mr. Michael Ammeter of Sylvan Lake is thereby declared the winner of the election and will be the Director for Alberta Canola for Region 7 for a second three-year term that will begin following the Alberta Canola Annual General Meeting on January 28, 2020.
The Board of Directors would like to thank both nominees for stepping forward to represent canola farmers in Region 7.
