Team Alberta members sign stakeholder letter about the implementation of MELT for farms

October 5, 2020

Alberta’s crop and livestock marketing boards and commissions, would like to raise awareness about their concerns with the implementation of Mandatory Entry Level Training (MELT) for farmers and farm workers. The need for Class 1 licences on farms will only increase over time as farming is driven by improving efficiencies and increasing economies of scale.

The organizations are requesting the Government of Alberta to find workable solutions to help the industry achieve voluntary compliance and contribute to safer roads and highways.
