Alberta Canola is seeking a Public Engagement and Education Coordinator who will lead our efforts in public engagement regarding canola facts, the farmers that grow it, its unique place in agriculture, and the role it has in a healthy diet. Utilizing innovative media and communications platforms, the successful candidate must be able to connect with a diversity of communities such as health professionals, educators, food industry stakeholders, and public consumers with information about canola, its products and production.
The successful candidate will have:
- A successful track record in public engagement.
- A good understanding of media and communications technologies, and experience in strategic planning communication outreach.
- A high standard of written and oral communication skills, with proven experience at creating communications content for the public.
- A passionate interest in agriculture and food.
This is a full time, permanent position based at Alberta Canola’s Edmonton office. Salary and benefits will be competitive, and dependent on experience and qualifications.
